The Gaerne SG12 boots have been rigorously tested and feature the “Dual Stage Pivot” system which protects the ankle in two ways (both from compression and torsional injuries). The boots have an anatomically shaped shin guard that provides both impact protection and shock absorption. The width of the boot shaft can be easily extended to fit most riders. The SG-12 sole has a new look and is made of Gaerne “Dual Composite” anti-shock rubber that has made Gaerne soles famous throughout the world. – Dual Stage Pivot System: a patented two-stage system that allows correct anatomical movement of the ankle and protects against torsional and compression injuries. – The first pin creates a strong and stable reinforcement on the boot while the second pin gives a flexible and correct feel in the riding position. The pins lock in the event of a crash and prevent both torsional and compression damage, while contributing to the shock-absorbing properties of the boot. – The leg is equipped with a durable rubber “Grip Guard”, which offers exceptional grip on the motorcycle and protects the inside of the leg from heat. – The anatomically shaped thermoplastic shin protector offers a perfect fit and shock-absorbing protection for the shin. By removing three screws, the entry width can be widened to accommodate wider legs or guards. – The SG-12 boots feature four lightweight buckles attached to adjustable straps. – The upper part of the boot is made of a new Swiss breathable material called Acronos. The gaiter is extremely stretchy and offers the perfect fit to keep sand and other debris out of the boot. – The boot is lined with “Gaerne Memory Cell Foam” which gives a comfortable feel and a long-lasting fit. – The heel protector is designed to absorb shock and protect against compression. – The new SG-12 boots have an improved fit with a narrower toe box that gives better feel and contact with the gear lever and footpegs. – The entire front of the foot is covered in a new plastic material that is lighter and offers greater comfort and feel, keeping the weight of the boot to a minimum. – The SG-12 sole has a new look and is made of Gaerne “Dual Composite” anti-shock rubber that has made Gaerne soles famous throughout the world. – The insole is specially designed to properly support the foot.
